Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Distful ("we", "us", "our") operates this website and the Distful service. If you have any question about this policy or about how we handle your data, contact us at privacy@distful.com.
2. What we collect
We collect the following, and nothing else:
- Waitlist information. The email address you submit, and, if you choose to provide it, your company name, your role and the description of what you publish.
- Content you submit to the service. If you are a beta participant, the source assets you upload or link, and the campaigns generated from them.
- Basic usage data. Pages visited, referring source, approximate location at country level, browser and device type. We use privacy respecting analytics and do not build advertising profiles.
- Email correspondence. Anything you send us directly.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, special category personal data, payment card numbers outside our payment processor, or government identification numbers.
3. Why we use it
- To contact you about beta access and to prioritise the waitlist.
- To provide the service: analysing your source assets and generating and measuring campaigns.
- To improve the product, based on aggregate usage rather than individual inspection.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent for waitlist and marketing communication, on the performance of a contract for providing the service, and on our legitimate interest in operating and improving it.
4. Your content stays yours
You keep all rights to the content you upload and to the assets Distful generates from it. We process your content to provide the service to you. We do not sell it, publish it, or share it with other customers.
5. Who we share data with
We share the minimum necessary with service providers who help us operate: hosting, email delivery, payment processing, analytics, error monitoring, and the AI model providers that process your source content in order to generate campaigns. Each acts on our instructions under a contract. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
We may disclose data if we are legally required to, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
6. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where that involves a transfer out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the appropriate safeguards available under applicable law, such as standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep it
Waitlist entries are kept until you ask us to remove them, or until the waitlist is closed and no longer relevant. Account data and uploaded content are kept for as long as your account is active, and deleted within a reasonable period after you close it or ask for deletion. Records we need for accounting or legal reasons are kept for as long as the law requires.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive a portable copy, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email privacy@distful.com and we will respond within the period required by applicable law. Every marketing email we send has a working unsubscribe link.
9. Cookies
We use only what is needed to make the site work and to count visits in aggregate. We do not use advertising or cross site tracking cookies. Where consent is required for anything beyond strictly necessary cookies, we ask for it first.
10. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No service can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and any relevant regulator as required by law.
11. Children
The service is intended for business use by adults. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
12. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and for material changes we will notify anyone on the waitlist or holding an account by email.
